We would like to introduce a case of polygonal NC roll forming processing that we have undertaken. It is used for items such as silencer bodies for two-wheeled vehicles. Until now, round cylindrical shapes have been mainstream, but due to trends, the number of polygonal bodies is also increasing. Our company specializes not only in cylindrical shapes but also in polygonal shapes formed through NC control. Titanium polygonal pipes shaped for use in two-wheeled vehicle mufflers. Significant cost reduction and time savings achieved compared to conventional press bending. 【Processing Details】 Sheet cutting → NC rolling → Welding 【Processing Specifications】 ◆ Sheet Cutting Titanium sheets are cut to the required size using shearing. The thickness range is up to pure titanium t2.0mm and titanium alloy 64 t1.0mm. Lengths up to L500mm are applicable. ◆ NC Rolling The cut titanium sheets are roll-formed using an NC rolling machine. The thickness range is from t0.5mm to t0.8mm, with lengths up to L450mm and outer diameters from Φ90 to φ200. ◆ Welding The polygonally rolled titanium sheets are welded using a TIG welding machine. TIG welding is available from t0.5mm. Shaping titanium is challenging due to its strong tendency to return to its original form, but our company has a proven track record in manufacturing for both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. *In addition to roll forming, titanium welded pipes can also be produced using press winding.
